  • Full width Soliloquy Slider in header with strange wrap behavior

    Hello,

    Using DWB and Beaverbuilder. Made a landingpage, and a classic website behind the landingpage. I'm trying to have a Soliloquy slider, navigation menu and content.

    In the hook boxes I enter this Genesis_before_header
    Code:
    <?php
    remove_action( 'genesis_header', 'genesis_do_header' );
    ?>
    In the widget area I hook my class .myrrena-slider
    And with the right conditionals I view/disable the slider.

    In the css I have the following code:

    .
    Code:
    site-header .widget-area {
    float: right;
    padding: 0;
    text-align: right;
    width: 1140px:!important;
    height: 100px;
    }
    Now I want to have the soliloquy full width.
    With firebug I can change a lot but Im stuck with a Wrap. How can I remove that?

    you can see it at www.myrrena.ch/haus-myrrena

    What am i doing wrong

    thanks,
    Hans

    If you want the slider full width (browser edge to edge) One problem is your images are only 1140 pixels width. In most cases this is not wide enough.
    I would make them 1600 or 1920 pixels wide. Of course at that width as currently one the site, it is not responsive.
    Also and more importantly the slider is contained in the wrap which is only 1140 pixels

    When I need this kind of functionality. I will created an extra Div, make it span 100% of the browser. and placed it with Position: absolute.

      Thanks I will give that a try. Where and how would you create an extra Div ?

        Try using the Hookbox genesis_after_header
