  • Custom excerpts on posts page?

Okay, I know this is probably an easy answer, but I can't find it elsewhere. I used to have a site where I added custom excerpts to posts preview on the posts page. Is this function native? Or is a plugin needed? Thanks.

Not sure I understand... Do you mean the "More" tag, added after a chosen part of text? Can you explain/show an example?

Let's say you visit a website and click on blog, which takes you to the blog page. The list of current articles shows thumbnail images (maybe) and excerpts from each post. I'm saying I was able to display custom excerpts there, instead of just trunicating 100 or 200 characters of the actual post.

I guess you´d need to check your Genesis Theme Settings for Archives and use the "Read More" Tag when writing your posts instead of using the automatic truncating of posts.
