  • Needd some ACSS Syntax Advice to Target a SIdebar Widget by id

    I'm at my wits end with this!

    I have a primary sidebar widget with the ID of #text-27 and after 2 dozen goes at it with different types of css syntax I am still unable to get it to respond.

    The page is still an unpublished draft. So there is nothing to look at, but I have successfully styled the widget titles, backgrounds and the like using the following CSS

    Code:
    body.page-id-3634 .sidebar {
        margin-top: 50px !important;
    }

    body.page-id-3634 .sidebar-primary h4{
        color: #383838 !important;
        font-size: 2.6rem !important;
        padding: 0 !important;
    }

    body.page-id-3634 .sidebar .widget-wrap {
        background-color: transparent !important;
    }

    body.page-id-3634 .sidebar.widget-area .widget {
        background-color: transparent !important;
    }

    body.page-id-3634 .sidebar .widget-wrap .widget-title {
        background-color: transparent !important;
        text-align: center;
    }
    But when I try:

    Code:
     body.page-id-3634 widget-area.sidebar .widget#text-27 {     margin: 50px 0 0 0;     padding: 0 0 0 0; }
    And every imaginable variation of it, nothing's worked. What's my mistake? Please help! Thanks

    Can you give a URL please? Otherwise it´s not possible to test. (would this work if you delete .widget and just use #text-27?)

      Hi SiGa,

      Unfortunately the page is still an unpublished draft. I tried just using #text-27 but no cigar.

      I even just tried #text-27 on its own and nothing has worked that theoretically should.

      I am using the Simple SIdebar Plugin, so maybe that's behind my confusion. Dag gone it

      Thanks though

        For me, a selector like

        Code:
        .sidebar.widget-area #text-2.widget
        does it´s job on a default install without Simple Sidebars. But there might be other influences we couldn´t know if we can´t look at it and use dev tools, sorry.
